Help Lines Near Elements Casino Victoria
The casino at 1708 Island Highway is a building you ride out to, by bus or by bike. Online play in B.C. has its own rules, this guide carries paid links, and help is one phone call away: all of it is below.

What the province allows online
In British Columbia, the provincial government must run gambling for it to be lawful. BCLC oversees every form of commercial gambling, from the Island Highway casino to play online. PlayNow.com, run by BCLC, is the province's single lawful site for gambling online. Players there must be at least 19, the same age required at a casino.
A dedicated regulator has watched over gambling throughout British Columbia since April 13, 2026, and its name is Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO). Any other online gambling website letting in B.C. players is, in the IGCO's view, running illegally inside the province. That includes the site behind the Ad links found on this guide's home page.
Three Ad links, one partner
Across victoriacasino.online, you will find paid links on its home page alone. Three show up, each tagged Ad: a menu button, a block past the first view, and one near the page's foot. Whichever you click opens one online casino in private hands, and that business pays the Car-Free desk a commission. Since another partner may replace it later, the guide does not name it.
That partner holds no licence or permission from British Columbia. PlayNow limits, Game Break self-exclusion and complaints to the IGCO do not reach its site. It is different for links to help services, the province, BCLC, BC Transit and the casino: not one of them is ever paid.
Help at any hour
- You can reach Gambling Support BC free and in confidence at 1-888-795-6111, around the clock, every day, or online at gamblingsupportbc.ca. It helps anyone in British Columbia, including family and friends affected by someone else's gambling.
- BCLC's Game Break lets people shut themselves out of B.C. gambling facilities and PlayNow.com by choice. Any casino or community gaming centre can enrol you face to face, with a staff member or GameSense Advisor guiding you. Your government-issued photo ID comes out first; the length you settle on, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years or 3 years, stays fixed.
- There is a GameSense Info Centre on site at the casino at 1708 Island Highway. A GameSense Advisor can be found at every casino in British Columbia, so you can ask for help face to face.
The Car-Free desk and its sources
The Car-Free desk is the shared name behind every page, both as writer and as signature. Bylines are never personal, and the pictures show nobody. Facts were checked on October 1, 2026, against the casino's own pages, BCLC, the province of British Columbia, BC Transit's open timetable data and OpenStreetMap.
Bus routes and stops are named, but never departure times, frequencies or fares, because those change with each BC Transit schedule. BC Transit publishes the current ones itself, at bctransit.com. Distances come from map data, and we give no riding or cycling times. No forms, comments or user accounts exist here; the tab only remembers the light or dark setting until it closes.
Even the bike by the entrance walkway was made by an image generator, not a camera, and no picture shows a person. Four started from real photographs of the casino, shifted to a new viewpoint and hour. One looks across the Island Highway at the lawn and stone wall with the casino's name. Others show that walkway, the roadside sign at dusk and a restaurant inside under hanging bulbs. The firs-and-arbutus path is made up, not the Galloping Goose or E&N Rail Trail.
Asked on the way out
Does any private online casino hold a B.C. licence?
Apart from PlayNow.com, every online gambling website that lets B.C. players in is operating illegally in the province, the IGCO says. British Columbia has given no licence or permission to the partner behind the Ad links in this guide.
Do Game Break terms carry over to the Ad partner's site?
Game Break covers B.C. gambling facilities and PlayNow.com, and its reach stops there. It does not cover the partner's site, and neither do PlayNow limits or complaints to the IGCO.
Where can someone in Victoria play online legally?
The only lawful online gambling site in British Columbia is PlayNow.com, operated by BCLC and open to players 19 or older. The guide is not aware of any online casino operated by the casino on Island Highway.
